About Halda
Halda AB is the biggest traffic management and
payment administration company for the taxi business in Scandinavia.
It offers the market's most comprehensive product range, including products
with the well-known Trancometer® and Halda® brands.
Halda's roots go back to 1985, when the original company was established.
In 1999 it was acquired by Trancometer System AB. Halda works with information
technology and has extensive expertise in three interacting key areas:

• Communications
• Computers, networks and software
Halda integrates the various areas of technology and supplies complete
concept solutions.
Halda's development department works with a network of subcontractors.
These are specialist companies in their fields, vehicle electronics or
radio technology for instance.

Because the subcontractors take part in the development work, high quality
of the individual products is guaranteed, as well as optimum cost-effectiveness
of the entire system solution.

Halda currently has installations in more than 8000 taxis in the Scandinavian
countries. It also has in service more than 100 administrative systems
and 85 booking systems, most of which have data traffic with the vehicle,
and about ten fully-automatic GPS traffic management systems.
About 30 000 taxis in Western Europe are fitted with Halda taximeters.
